Brendan Rodgers: 'Mario Balotelli is back in training'

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers reveals that striker Mario Balotelli has a chance of being fit for the club's trip to Manchester United.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed that he will give striker Mario Balotelli "every chance" of being fit for the club's match with Manchester United.

Balotelli hasn't featured since Liverpool's defeat to Chelsea on November 8, but Rodgers has indicated that the Italian forward could feature after returning to training this week.

The 41-year-old told reporters: "Mario has only just come back training after his injury. We will give him every chance to be part of the squad on Sunday."

The former Manchester City forward has scored just twice in 14 games since moving to Anfield in the summer.
