Paris Saint-Germain captain Thiago Silva believes that the sale of Mamadou Sakho is no massive loss for the club as they already had Marquinhos in the squad.
The 19-year-old, who moved to France from Roma in the summer, has been forced to start at centre-back over the past month due to injuries to Silva and Alex along with the exit of Sakho to Liverpool on deadline day.
While Silva admits that Sakho does have the edge over the Brazilian in terms of experience, the skipper feels that they are both equally talented.
"Sakho has more experience, most notably because he is an international and has come through many important games," Silva told reporters.
"But apart from that I would say they are at the same level. Marquinhos has made a lot of progress in recent years."
