Diego Simeone has reportedly decided to remain as manager of Atletico Madrid despite rumoured interest from Manchester City and Liverpool.
The 44-year-old is believed to have been targeted by the two Premier League clubs should they decide to part ways with their current managers.
Simeone, who guided Atletico to La Liga glory last season, has been touted as a possible replacement for City boss Manuel Pellegrini, while Brendan Rodgers's Liverpool future has been questioned.
However, according to the Daily Star, Simeone has decided to stay at the Vicente Calderon due to the reported impending arrival of former Chelsea star Fernando Torres.
The striker is believed to be on the verge of agreeing a loan move to Atletico, where he began his career, after securing a permanent deal with AC Milan.
