Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling was subjected to boos during the club's end-of-season awards ceremony this evening.
The youngster has been embroiled in a long-running contract dispute with the club, turning down a £100,000-a-week offer earlier in the campaign.
Sterling is expected to tell the club later this week that he wants to leave Anfield, a decision that has drawn widespread criticism from fans and ex-players alike.
Despite his ongoing troubles with the Merseyside outfit, Sterling was named the club's Young Player of the Year at an awards ceremony tonight having scored 11 goals in 47 appearances this season.
However, the 20-year-old received a mixed reception when going up to accept the award, with a smattering of fans booing the England international.
Liverpool will finish their season away to Stoke City on Sunday.
