Preview: Tottenham Hotspur vs. Liverpool

Sports Mole previews Liverpool's trip to White Hart Lane to play Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is expected to recall the players who were rested for the Europa League fixture with AEL Limassol on Thursday night.

Pochettino took the opportunity to leave out the members of his squad that had taken Spurs to the top of the Premier League table, but they will all return as the North London outfit look to open up an early six-point gap on Liverpool.

New signing Federico Fazio is expected to take a place on the substitutes' bench, but striker Roberto Soldado remains a doubt with a shoulder injury.

Mario Balotelli, who has signed for Liverpool from AC Milan, will feature in the Reds' 18-man squad, but he is likely to start on the bench.

Midfielder Adam Lallana could join him after recovering from injury, but there are doubts over Glen Johnson, Alberto Moreno and Martin Skrtel.

The Merseyside outfit will require an improved performance at the back after falling to a 3-1 defeat to Manchester City on Monday evening.
