Team News: Christian Benteke given rare Liverpool start

Christian Benteke will lead the Liverpool attack during their Premier League encounter against Watford.

Jurgen Klopp has turned to Christian Benteke to lead the Liverpool attack for this afternoon's home Premier League clash with Watford.

The Belgian striker has not started a game in any competition since February 9, having seemingly fallen out of favour with the Liverpool boss.

However, he has been reinstated today in what is a heavily-altered home side.

Only Simon Mignolet, Alberto Moreno and Philippe Coutinho have kept their places from the team that defeated Villarreal 3-0 on Thursday night to reach the final of the Europa League.

As for the visiting Hornets, their one change has seen Sebastian Prodl come in for Juan Carlos Paredes, which in turn sees Craig Cathcart switch to right-back.

Liverpool: Mignolet; Flanagan, Skrtel, Lucas, Moreno; Allen, Stewart; Ibe, Ojo, Coutinho; Benteke
Subs: Bogdan, Toure, Firmino, Sturridge, Brannagan, Randall, Chirivella

Watford: Gomes; Cathcart, Britos, Prödl, Anya; Abdi, Suarez, Watson, Jurado; Deeney, Ighalo.
Subs: Pantilimon, Nyom, Paredes, Ake, Guedioura, Berghuis, Amrabat
