Liverpool are without Ibrahima Konate and Ryan Gravenberch for their Premier League clash with Brentford at Anfield.
The Reds lost Gravenberch to a knee issue before Thursday's Europa League loss to Toulouse, although there was hope that he would be passed fit for the visit of the Bees.
However, the Dutchman has not made the matchday squad, and nor has centre-back Konate, who was an unused substitute in midweek and is missing from the ranks for unexplained reasons.
Joe Gomez is another notable absentee for Jurgen Klopp's side, who make seven changes from their Europa League defeat, as Cody Gakpo, Joel Matip, Kostas Tsimikas and Wataru Endo hold their places.
Gakpo will seemingly join Endo and Dominik Szoboszlai in an attack-minded midfield with Alexis Mac Allister suspended, while 16-year-old academy midfielder Trey Nyoni is named on the bench.
As for Brentford, Thomas Frank has made two changes to the side from last weekend's 3-2 win over West Ham United, as Mads Roerslev and Ben Mee come into a five-man rearguard.
Roerslev's introduction will allow Vitaly Janelt - who deputised at left-back last weekend - to return to his familiar midfield role ahead of Frank Onyeka, while Neal Maupay drops out of the side despite ending his 34-game goal drought against the Irons.
