Team News: Daniel Sturridge on Liverpool bench for Swansea City clash

Jurgen Klopp starts with Daniel Sturridge on the bench for Liverpool's game against Swansea City.

Daniel Sturridge has been named on the substitutes' bench for Liverpool's Premier League clash with Swansea City.

Reds' boss Jurgen Klopp has opted for Christian Benteke in attack alongside Roberto Firmino, but Philippe Coutinho is out after picking up a hamstring injury in last week's 4-1 win at Manchester City.

Lucas is suspended after accumulating five yellow cards. Jordon Ibe replaces the Brazilian in midfield and club captain Jordan Henderson returns to the bench for the Merseysiders after a long-term absence.

Meanwhile, Bafetimbi Gomis, who has not scored since August, is among the substitutes as Eder leads the Swansea attack.

Jonjo Shelvey serves a one-game ban, with Gylfi Sigurdsson taking his place in midfield.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Clyne, Skrtel, Lovren, Moreno, Can, Milner, Lallana, Ibe, Firmino, Benteke
Subs: Bogdan, Toure, Henderson, Sturridge, Allen, Origi, Randall

Swansea City: Fabianski, Naughton, Bartley, Williams, Taylor, Britton, Ki Sung-Yueng, Sigurdsson, Routledge, Ayew, Eder
Subs: Nortfeldt, Gomis, Montero, Grimes, Cork, Rangel, Fernandez
