Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is able to call upon January signing Virgil van Dijk for Monday night's Premier League clash at Swansea City.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has handed a start to Virgil van Dijk for Monday night's Premier League clash with Swansea City.

Van Dijk missed the 4-3 victory over Manchester City with a tight hamstring but after returning to training on Thursday, the January signing is able to make his first league start for his new team.

Dejan Lovren is the player to miss out, but Klopp has opted to keep the rest of the side which performed so impressively against the league leaders at Anfield.

Mohamed Salah has recovered from illness to feature in attack, with Adam Lallana having to make do with a place among the replacements.

As for Swansea, Carlos Carvalhal has made three changes to the team which began the 1-1 draw away at Newcastle United nine days ago.

Kyle Naughton, Federico Fernandez and Leroy Fer have all been handed a starting role, with Kyle Bartley, Tom Carroll and Oliver McBurnie dropping down to the bench.
