Liverpool goalkeeper Adam Bogdan is to undergo a medical at Wigan Athletic today ahead of a season-long loan switch.
The 28-year-old joined the Reds under Brendan Rodgers's tenure last summer but has failed to make an impact on current manager Jurgen Klopp, who has brought in Loris Karius this transfer window as competition for first-choice keeper Simon Mignolet.
According to the Daily Mail, Bogdan also received interest from Bristol City but opted for a switch to the Latics as he was keen to remain in the North-West.
The Hungarian previously admitted that he was looking to secure a move away from Liverpool as soon as possible, conceding that he "would need incredible luck or a lot of injuries to climb the ladder".
Klopp has also loaned out keepers Ryan Fulton and Danny Ward to Chesterfield and Huddersfield Town respectively, while he has former Juventus stopper Alex Manninger on trial as a potential third-choice keeper.
