Agent: 'Simon Mignolet deal not done'

Simon Mignolet's agent has revealed that his client has not reached an agreement with Liverpool over a move to Anfield.

It was revealed late last week that Sunderland have accepted a bid for their Belgian goalkeeper from the Reds.

However, although he is hopeful that a deal can be concluded, the 25-year-old's representative Guy Vandermissen has claimed that no talks have taken place.

"We hope that there can be a deal and he can go to Liverpool," he said. "If you go from Sunderland to Liverpool, it is a big step forward. You have to make decisions at certain times."

It is believed that Mignolet will cost Liverpool around £11m.
