Atletico Madrid eye Pepe Reina?

Atletico Madrid will reportedly attempt to sign Pepe Reina from Liverpool if they fail in their permanent pursuit of Thibaut Courtois.

Atletico Madrid will reportedly move for Pepe Reina during the summer, providing that they cannot convince Chelsea to part with Thibaut Courtois.

Belgian international goalkeeper Courtois joined the Blues in 2011, but since then he has been on loan with Atletico.

Los Rojiblancos are said to want to sign the 21-year-old on a permanent basis, but there is a growing belief that Blues manager Jose Mourinho has planned to keep him at Stamford Bridge.

If that is proven to be the case, then Atletico coach Diego Simeone will turn his attention to Liverpool keeper Reina, who is in the middle of a season-long loan spell with Napoli, according to talkSPORT.

Reina's father, Miguel, spent seven years during his playing career with Atletico.
