Mario Balotelli will reportedly be sold by Liverpool this month to make way for at least one new recruit.
The Italian international has failed to make an impact since his switch from AC Milan last summer and is yet to score a Premier League goal for the Reds.
As a result, the Daily Mail claims that Balotelli will be shown the door by Brendan Rodgers, who has been told that he must sell the striker before buying his replacement.
It is thought that Balotelli could be offered to Sampdoria, with the Merseysiders then ready to move for their Argentine keeper Sergio Romero.
However, the Reds may also try to lure Gonzalo Higuain to Anfield with a £30m bid for the Napoli forward.
