Bolton make Ngog bid

Bolton Wanderers have made a bid for Liverpool striker David Ngog, according to Sky Sports News.

The fee for the former French Under-21s international is believed to be in the region of £4m.

Manager Owen Coyle had said that he hoped to fill the vacant number nine shirt after Daniel Sturridge returned to Chelsea from a season-long loan and Johan Elmander joined Galatasaray.

The 22-year-old is expected to make few first-team appearances this season after the big-money signings of Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez.

Ngog joined the Reds from Paris Saint-Germain in 2008 for £1.5m.
