Barcelona attacker Philippe Coutinho gives his approval to re-join Liverpool on loan this summer, according to a report.

Barcelona attacker Philippe Coutinho is reportedly keen to re-join Liverpool on loan this summer.

Coutinho's future at Camp Nou has been the subject of speculation since the end of the 2018-19 campaign, having struggled to produce his best form for the Spanish giants.

The 27-year-old, who helped Brazil win the Copa America earlier this month, has been strongly linked with a return to the Premier League over the last month or so.

According to Calciomercato, Coutinho has now approved a two-year loan offer from Liverpool, which would include an option to make the deal permanent for £88m.

The attacker scored 54 times in 201 appearances for Liverpool ahead of a switch to Camp Nou in January 2018.

Coutinho struck 11 times for Ernesto Valverde's side during the 2018-19 campaign, with five of those coming in 33 La Liga appearances.
