Kenny Dalglish says that he hasn't spoken to Joe Cole about a potential permanent switch to Lille.

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has admitted that he has no knowledge of a potential permanent move to Lille for loaned out midfielder Joe Cole.

The ex-Chelsea star has made an impression on Lille president Michel Seydoux since his loan switch from Anfield in the summer, prompting talk of a permanent deal for the 30-year-old.

"He has never spoken to me," said Dalglish. "I don't know anything about it. I know they won 2-0 [against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League] and the lad hit the post and is playing well - but he's been playing well most of the time.

"It is great for Joe he is doing so well but beyond that I don't know of anything that has happened."

Meanwhile, the Merseyside club take on Premier League leaders Manchester City on home turf this Sunday.
