Samuel Eto'o urges Mohamed Salah to join Barcelona

Former Barcelona forward Samuel Eto'o says that Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah should move to Camp Nou.

Former Barcelona forward Samuel Eto'o has urged Liverpool's Mohamed Salah to move to Camp Nou.

Salah has scored an incredible 71 goals in 104 appearances for Liverpool since joining the Merseyside giants from Roma in 2017.

Real Madrid have been credited with an interest in the Egypt international, who netted 27 times in all competitions for Jurgen Klopp's side last term.

Eto'o, however, has claimed that Barca "would be a better fit" for the 27-year-old.

"Barcelona would be a better fit. Real gave me the opportunity to leave Africa but I know Barcelona's style and I think it would be better for him," Eto'o told reporters.

"If he has the chance to play in the best league of the world, which is the Spanish one, he has to sign for Barcelona. Mo has everything to be one of the best players in the world."

Salah is reportedly not interested in leaving Anfield this summer but could seek a move away from English football at the end of next season.
