Fiorentina have reportedly failed in a bid to sign winger Lazar Markovic from Liverpool.
Earlier this week, it was claimed that the Italian side had opened talks with the Serbian attacker, who has been made available for transfer by manager Jurgen Klopp.
However, according to the Liverpool Echo, Fiorentina are unwilling to meet the 23-year-old's asking price, which is said to be £16m.
During the second half of last season, Markovic enjoyed an impressive loan spell with Hull City where he contributed two goals in 12 starts in the top flight.
The Tigers and Watford - who are managed by former Hull boss Marco Silva - are also said to hold an interest in the wideman.
