Hannover insist on Zieler stay

Hannover have insisted that Ron-Robert Zieler will not be sold this summer.

The 24-year-old's agent Gunter Neuhaus claimed on Tuesday that Liverpool "have set their sights on him".

ESPN quotes the Bundesliga club's president Martin Kind as saying that "Zieler stays", while general manager Dirk Dufner said that they "don't have any doubts, it is completely in our hands".

Coach Mirko Slomka told Bild: "Zieler is a super goalkeeper. It is rather normal he is in the focus. I was actually wondering, why until now he had not been approached by another club."

Zieler joined Hannover from Manchester United in 2010.
