Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott is reportedly being forced to wait for a new deal at Liverpool amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The teenager will turn 17 on April 4, at which point he will be able to pen his first professional contract with Jurgen Klopp's side.

However, according to The Echo, dealings have been shrouded in uncertainty due to the outbreak of COVID-19, and Elliott will reportedly have to wait to sign a new contract.

Since arriving from Fulham last summer, the 16-year-old has chalked up seven appearances for the Reds across all competitions.

A regular in the Under-23 side, Elliott has registered two goals and four assists in the Premier League 2 this term.
