Jurgen Klopp is eyeing a move to bring his former Borussia Dortmund player Kevin Grosskreutz to Liverpool in January, according to a report.
The versatile midfielder joined Turkish side Galatasaray in the summer shortly before the transfer window closed, but FIFA ruled that the club had failed to cpmplete the paperwork in time.
That error has left the 27-year-old unable to play for his new club in the three months since the deal went through, and Grosskreutz is reportedly keen to secure a move away from Istanbul.
According to the Sunday People, Klopp is keen on a reunion with his former player and sees Grosskreutz's ability to play in a number of positions across the midfield and defensive line as a valuable addition to his new squad.
Grosskreutz was a regular in the Dortmund side under Klopp and scored 27 goals in 233 appearances for the club over six seasons before leaving for Turkey.
