Leicester City are one of several Premier League clubs that are reportedly interested in Lorient midfielder Enzo Le Fee.
The Foxes are searching for potential replacements for Youri Tielemans, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
Talks over a new deal were first reported two years ago, but Tielemans has decided against signing an extension.
Leicester are resigned to the fact that the Belgium international will leave the club on a free transfer when his contract expires in June.
Tielemans, who is currently sidelined with an ankle injury, is attracting interest from the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Barcelona.

With Tielemans heading towards the exit door, the Foxes will be looking to strengthen his midfield in the upcoming summer transfer window, and they appear to have identified a potential option.
According to 90min, they are one of a number of Premier League sides that are monitoring Le Fee, who has entered the final 18 months of his Lorient contract.
The 23-year-old joined Lorient's academy at the age of eight, and he has since risen through the youth ranks before making his first-team debut in November 2018.
Le Fee has gone on to score seven goals and provide 15 assists in 135 appearances for Lorient, but the midfielder recently revealed that he plans to leave the club this summer.

"It's time for me to leave," Le Fee told Le Telegramme. "I have a special bond with the club and that's why I wanted to extend my contract at the start of the season.
"I waited for a contract offer from Lorient until December. It never came. Now, I don't expect anything from the club and I won't extend my contract. I hope to leave this summer so that my transfer will bring money to Lorient."
Should Leicester decide to make an offer for Le Fee, they could face competition from Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers, who have been credited with an interest.
Le Fee has registered five goals and five assists in 29 appearances this season, and Liverpool, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are also believed to be admirers of the Frenchman.
