Liverpool have reportedly received a number of offers for midfielder Stefan Bajcetic.
With less than two weeks of the summer transfer window remaining, Arne Slot is still to make his first addition since replacing Jurgen Klopp in the dugout.
However, the Dutchman has publicly acknowledged that it would be a surprise if he did not add to his squad before the August 30 deadline.
The Merseyside giants have already failed to tempt Spain international Martin Zubimendi into leaving Real Sociedad, leaving the search for a new defensive-minded midfielder to drag on.
Reports have indicated that Slot may ultimately opt against bringing in a fresh face for that position given the players that he already has at his disposal.
Nevertheless, it appears that the former Feyenoord boss will soon be given a decision to make over how to handle the future of one of the club's prospects.

Bids flood in for Bajcetic
According to Football Insider, Liverpool have been "besieged" with proposals to take Bajcetic on loan.
The 19-year-old was limited to just 97 minutes of football across three appearances last season through injury, derailing his development after making such a positive impact in 2022-23.
In pre-season, though, Bajcetic came through four brief outings without suffering any issues, setting him up to resume his career this campaign.
As it stands, it is yet to be determined whether that will come at Anfield or elsewhere with Liverpool said to have received widespread interest in his signature.
Several Premier League and European clubs are said to be keen to negotiate a season-long loan deal for the Spain Under-21 international.
Unlike in the case of several other Liverpool prospects, there appears to be no chance of Bajcetic being allowed to leave on a permanent basis.

What is Slot's opinion?
The report says that Slot is a fan of Bajcetic and would have no qualms in keeping him at Liverpool for this season in order to hand him opportunities.
Liverpool also have no interest in parting ways with Bajcetic if they are unable to strengthen their ranks over the next week-and-a-half.
Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo are viewed as the other options to be deployed in the most defensive-minded role of Slot's midfield.
