Liverpool and Manchester City have reportedly identified Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk goalkeeper Andriy Lunin as a possible transfer target.
Last weekend, the two clubs played out one of the games of the season with Liverpool prevailing 4-3 at Anfield, but the two teams now appear ready to go head to head in the transfer market.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Premier League duo are keen to sign 18-year-old Lunin, who has already made 15 first-team appearances for his Ukrainian side.
Real Sociedad are said to be the favourites to sign Lunin in a deal worth over £5m, but Liverpool and City have entered the race for the teenager's signature.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is looking for a long-term number one due to the inconsistencies of Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius, while Pep Guardiola may see Lunin as a future understudy to Ederson.
