Liverpool are reportedly considering making a bid in the region of £20m for Schalke 04 youngster Weston McKennie.

Schalke 04 youngster Weston McKennie has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Liverpool.

The Merseyside giants currently sit four points clear at the top of the Premier League table, but Jurgen Klopp could still choose to add to his squad during the January window.

According to The Sun, McKennie has been identified as a potential addition by Liverpool and a bid in the region of £20m could be made before the end of the month.

The 20-year-old has already established himself as a first-team player at Schalke, with a total of 45 outings coming in the senior ranks since May 2017.

The midfielder - who has three-and-a-half years remaining on his contract - has also earned seven caps for the United States.
