Liverpool eye Atletico Madrid youngster Saul Niguez?

Liverpool are reportedly considering a move for Atletico Madrid starlet Saul Niguez after missing out on Mohamed Salah.

Liverpool are about to swoop for Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez, according to a report.

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has reportedly held talks with the 19-year-old's father after missing out on Basel winger Mohamed Salah, who will sign for Chelsea in the coming days.

According to The Mirror, the Northern Irishman will have scouts watching the Spanish starlet play for Rayo Vallecano against his parent club later today before making a decision on whether to buy him.

The Spain Under-21 international has a £20m release fee in his contract with Los Colchoneros, although reports suggest that a bid of around £12m may tempt the La Liga side into business.

He has scored one goal in 18 appearances for the Franjirrojos.
