Liverpool are reportedly in direct contact with Donyell Malen's agent, as the Reds attempt to sign the PSV Eindhoven attacker during this summer's transfer window.
The 22-year-old scored 27 times and registered 10 assists in 45 appearances for his Dutch club during the 2020-21 campaign, while he made four appearances for the Netherlands at Euro 2020.
PSV manager Roger Schmidt recently admitted that the Dutchman is likely to be on the move this summer, with Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund said to lead the race for his services.
According to Voetbal International journalist Marco Timmer, Malen's agent Mino Raiola is holding discussions with Liverpool over a potential move for his client.
However, Timmer claims that Dortmund are also speaking to Raiola, with the two clubs set to go head-to-head for the forward's signature during this summer's transfer window.
Malen, who has scored 55 times and registered 24 assists in 116 appearances for his current side in all competitions, represented Arsenal between 2015 and 2017.
