Liverpool are in regular contact with Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe over a possible move to Anfield next summer, according to a report.
The 21-year-old has netted 91 times in 125 games for the French champions since arriving from Monaco, but Mbappe has seen his future at PSG called into question on a couple of occasions recently.
The World Cup-winning forward will see his contract at PSG expire next summer, and Thomas Tuchel's side are faced with a difficult decision if Mbappe decides against renewing his deal at the Parc des Princes.
According to French outlet L'Equipe, Liverpool are hopeful of pulling off a sensational deal to bring Mbappe to the Premier League, but the Reds will have to fend off interest from Real Madrid to secure the Frenchman's signature.
The report claims that PSG would be open to selling Mbappe if they are unable to agree a contract extension with the former Monaco man, although it remains to be seen whether or not Liverpool would have the financial firepower to sign him.
Mbappe returned to action against Nice on Sunday after recovering from coronavirus, and the forward netted PSG's opener from the penalty spot in a 3-0 victory for Tuchel's side.
