Liverpool have reportedly joined the hunt for Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare.
The 20-year-old has been strongly linked with both Chelsea and Manchester United, while it is understood that Tottenham Hotspur have launched an official bid for the Frenchman.
Soumare has made 25 appearances for Lille during the 2019-20 campaign, including six outings in the group stages of the Champions League.
According to le10sport, Liverpool have now joined the race for the central midfielder and are hopeful of beating their Premier League rivals to his signature either this month or at the end of the season.
Soumare was a part of the Paris Saint-Germain academy between 2011 and 2017 but left the French giants without making a first-team appearance.
The midfielder, who is thought to be valued by Lille in excess of £40m, has been capped on four occasions by France's Under-21 side.
