Liverpool are reportedly lining up a summer swoop for Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo.
The former Italy international has a year left on his contract with the Serie A champions, and Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is said to be keen to secure Pirlo on a short-term deal at Anfield.
According to Tuttosport, Pirlo is preparing to leave the club at the end of the season, and Rodgers sees the ex-AC Milan man as the ideal replacement for the MLS-bound Steven Gerrard.
Pirlo is quoted as saying: "If we win the Champions League, it would be the culmination of a dream, and maybe a cycle - I may go abroad, as I still want to play."
Pirlo was part of the Juve side that recorded a 2-1 win against Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday.
