Liverpool have reportedly decided against making a move for Rangers defender Nathan Patterson.
The 19-year-old has started to make a name for himself under Steven Gerrard at Ibrox, banking two goals from 14 appearances in all competitions during the 2020-21 season.
However, Patterson has been forced to compete with James Tavernier for the right-back spot at Rangers, which has led to both Liverpool and Everton being linked with a swoop.
Now, The Sun claims that Liverpool have pulled out of the running to sign Patterson, which has left Everton in pole position to strike a deal for the teenager.
The Toffees reportedly could not agree a deal with Rangers for Patterson during the summer transfer window but are prepared to fork out £10m to secure his services this time around.
Patterson is under contract at Rangers until 2024 but is yet to play a single minute of Scottish Premiership football this term.
