Liverpool will reportedly wait until Rhian Brewster returns from his loan spell at Swansea City before making a decision over his future for the 2020-21 campaign.
The 20-year-old is highly rated at Anfield and was kept at the club for the first half of this season in the hope that he could challenge for a place in the first team alongside the likes of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi.
Brewster saw his chances limited, though, and was subsequently sent out on loan to Swansea, where he has scored four goals in 11 Championship appearances.
A number of other clubs were understood to be interested in signing the Under-17 World Cup winner on a temporary basis, and there is expected to be another clamour for his signature when the transfer window reopens.
However, The Athletic reports that Jurgen Klopp will wait to assess Brewster's progress during pre-season before making a decision over whether to ship him out on loan again in 2020-21.
Brewster has made only three senior appearances for Liverpool so far and is yet to score his first goal for the first team.
