Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has reportedly earmarked Cardiff City defender Steven Caulker as a summer transfer target.
The 22-year-old moved to Cardiff from Tottenham Hotspur last summer, but he is expected to leave the Bluebirds following their relegation from the Premier League.
According to ESPN, Rodgers is keen to improve Liverpool's defensive record and has identified Caulker as a main target.
The England international played under Rodgers at Swansea City, where he spent the 2011-12 campaign on loan from Spurs.
Liverpool are also reportedly close to completing the signing of Southampton playmaker Adam Lallana.
