Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed that youngster Raheem Sterling is close to signing a new contract at Anfield.
The 17-year-old has launched into the first team since Rodgers moved to Merseyside in the summer and while contract talks have been ongoing, reports have claimed that a deal has yet to be offered to the winger.
"The club and his representatives are in good dialogue and good communication and hopefully we'll get that resolved very soon," Rodgers said in a press conference.
The England international currently has 18 months left on his current deal.
