Liverpool reportedly plan to offer Gavi 50 times what he earns at Barcelona in order to tempt him into a move to Merseyside.

Liverpool are reportedly prepared to offer Gavi 50 times what he earns at Barcelona to make the switch to Anfield.

La Blaugrana are attempting to tie their 17-year-old starlet down to a new deal at Camp Nou following his breakthrough year and are supposedly confident of doing so.

As things stand, though, Gavi is due to become a free agent in the summer of 2023, and the Spain international has been linked with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea.

According to El Nacional, Gavi is currently on wages of £1,600 per week at Camp Nou, and Liverpool would be prepared to bump up his salary to £80,000 per week.

The youngster is reported to possess a €50m (£41.7m) release clause in his existing contract and he is said to be happy in Catalonia, but Barca's current financial problems could force them to cash in.

Gavi has already earned four caps for the senior Spanish side and boasts one goal and three assists from 16 La Liga appearances this term.
