Paris Saint-Germain chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi has stressed that "key player" Javier Pastore does not want to leave the club amid speculation over his future.
The Argentine international, a £32m signing from Palermo in 2011, has only made seven Ligue 1 starts for the big-spending French outfit this season.
He is rumoured to be unhappy with his lack of regular first-team football, with Liverpool believed to be monitoring his situation, but Al-Khelaifi has denied that the 24-year-old is seeking a move away in January.
"I am not sure Pastore wants to leave," he told L'Equipe. "When a player is unhappy, it is difficult to keep him. But it is not the case with Pastore.
"We will never forget he was one of the very first key players to join our project."
Pastore has scored 22 times in 92 games for PSG across all competitions.
