Report: Barcelona eye £20m Nathaniel Clyne move

A report claims that Barcelona could move for Liverpool defender Nathaniel Clyne in the January transfer window.

Barcelona are reportedly considering a £20m move for Liverpool defender Nathaniel Clyne.

The Spanish champions failed to directly replace right-back Dani Alves in the summer transfer window, although Sergi Roberto has impressed in that position in the early stages of the campaign.

Aleix Vidal looks certain to leave Camp Nou in January, however, and it is understood that Barcelona boss Luis Enrique wants strong competition for Roberto on the right side of the defence.

According to The Sun, 25-year-old Clyne has emerged as an option for the Catalan giants, who are eying a £20m move for the England international at the start of the winter transfer window.

Stoke City's Glen Johnson has also recently been linked with a shock move to Spain.
