Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is eyeing a move for Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe this summer, according to a report.
The 32-year-old only joined the Black Cats in January in a swap move from Toronto FC, and has scored four crucial goals in their climb to safety in the Premier League.
However, Howe is determined to add the former England international to his squad following their promotion from the Championship and wants to partner him with Liverpool forward Rickie Lambert.
The Cherries are expected to make a push to sign both players after the end of the Premier League season, reports The People.
Defoe scored 18 goals in a loan spell with Bournemouth back in the 2000-01 season.
