Report: Liverpool close to signing Alberto Moreno, Javi Manquillo

Liverpool are reportedly close to signing defensive duo Alberto Moreno and Javi Manquillo.

Liverpool are reportedly close to signing Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno and Atletico Madrid right-back Javi Manquillo.

The deal for Manquillo is reported to be a loan, possibly for two seasons, with a permanent deal worth in the region of £6m following at the end of that, according to Sky Sports News.

Moreno, who like Manquillo has also been linked with Arsenal this summer, is expected to cost the Reds £20m.

If the pair were to join it would take boss Brendan Rodgers's spending to over the £100m mark for this summer.

Liverpool will play AC Milan in the International Champions Cup in Charlotte on Saturday.
