Report: Liverpool interested in signing Alex Song

Liverpool are reportedly keen to sign West Ham United's on-loan midfielder Alex Song.

The 27-year-old has impressed during his spell with the Hammers so far this season following his temporary move from Barcelona.

According to The Metro, reports in Spain have claimed that Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers will try to get Barcelona to recall Song in January so the Reds can sign him, but are also willing to wait until the summer to put in a bid.

It is believed that Barcelona are keen to sell the former Arsenal player.
