Manchester City are reportedly considering launching a bid for Liverpool's prolific striker Luis Suarez in the summer.
The Uruguayan was thought to be close to leaving Anfield last summer after expressing a desire to play Champions League football.
However, after two failed bids by Arsenal, the striker was forced to stay put and eventually signed a new long-term contract at the Merseyside outfit.
Despite committing his future to Liverpool, Spanish publication Marca has claimed that City's sporting director Txiki Beriguistain has already held talks with Suarez regarding a switch to the Etihad Stadium.
The report has suggested that Alvaro Negredo could make way if Suarez arrives at City before the start of the 2014-15 campaign.
