Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly make an audacious bid to snatch Jordan Henderson from Premier League rivals Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
Spurs are said to be hoping to cash in on their impressive campaign to date by making an approach for the Reds' skipper, whom they are said to value in the region of £25m.
It is claimed by The Sun that, due to Tottenham's prospects of Champions League football next season - something which Liverpool are unlikely to be able to offer the midfielder - they are increasingly confident of landing their target.
Henderson, who earns around £5m a year at Anfield and is firmly in contract, has established himself on Merseyside in recent times following a shaky start to his Liverpool career upon joining from Sunderland.
Jurgen Klopp is unlikely to sell his player at any cost, however, with the same report suggesting that Tottenham are hoping that the swoop - successful or not - will help to send out a strong statement to their top-flight rivals.
