Sunderland reportedly have no plans to sign Liverpool striker Fabio Borini during the January transfer window.
It had been suggested that the Black Cats had started negotiations to purchase the Italian, who spent last season on loan at the Stadium of Light.
However, having been turned down by the 23-year-old during the summer, Sunderland boss Gus Poyet has run out of patience and has decided not to pursue Borini's signature again, according to Sky Sports News.
Recent speculation has claimed that Liverpool are keen to move Borini on next month to make room for a potential new arrival at Anfield.
