Report: West Ham United want Christian Benteke

A report claims that West Ham United want to sign Liverpool striker Christian Benteke at the end of the season.

West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool striker Christian Benteke.

The Belgian international joined Liverpool from Aston Villa at the end of last season and has netted seven Premier League goals for the Reds this term.

The 25-year-old has largely struggled to hold down a regular spot in Jurgen Klopp's first selection, however, and it is understood that the club will listen to offers in this summer's transfer window.

According to The Times, West Ham, who are chasing Champions League football, will launch a bid for the former Genk forward at the end of the current campaign.

Benteke netted 49 times in 101 games for Villa between 2012 and 2015.
