Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed that he expects Raheem Sterling to sign a new contract with the club "fairly soon".
The 18-year-old winger has yet to commit himself to the Reds amid reported interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.
When asked if he was worried that nothing had yet been signed, Rodgers told reporters: "No, not at all. That will be resolved I'm sure, fairly soon.
"He's a kid who has got this special ability so that no matter what is going on, he doesn't get too involved in it.
"He focuses on his football. Hopefully it stays that way."
Sterling was part of the Liverpool side that lost 3-1 at home to Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday.
