Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believes that star striker Luis Suarez could be on course to become the first £100m player in the world.
Despite reported interest from Real Madrid in the forward, Rodgers has insisted that the Uruguayan is not for sale.
However, the Northern Irishman has suggested that Suarez is beginning to justify the kind of valuation that would require a world-record transfer fee to lure him away from Anfield.
He told The Mirror: "He is certainly heading towards that. If you look at the top people in the world, the Ronaldos, the Messis, those who have been doing it for five or six years, he would be right at that level.
"Luis is certainly on his way towards that. His consistency has been phenomenal and what you see now is a more mature player.
"He is a world-class talent. Things evolve and times change. Time will tell."
Liverpool can move to the top of the Premier League if they beat Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
