Brendan Rodgers: 'Luis Suarez extremely happy at Liverpool'

Brendan Rodgers insists that Luis Suarez is "extremely happy" at Liverpool and that he can achieve his ambitions at Anfield.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted that striker Luis Suarez is "extremely happy" at Anfield.

The Uruguayan has constantly been the subject of transfer rumours since he expressed a desire to leave Merseyside in the summer.

Despite reports that Real Madrid are willing to launch a £65m bid for the 26-year-old in January, the player himself has stated that he will stay at the club until the end of the season.

While there are suggestions that Suarez could leave in the summer, Rodgers believes that the prolific forward can achieve his ambitions at Anfield.

"Luis is extremely happy here at Liverpool," Rodgers said in a press conference. "He certainly feels vindicated for staying. Hopefully in the coming years he can achieve everything he wants to achieve."

Suarez made the headlines after netting four goals in Liverpool's 5-1 win over Norwich City last night.
