The agent of Liverpool midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri is confident that there will be "many offers" for the Swiss international again when the transfer window reopens.

The agent of Liverpool midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri has revealed that he is expecting "many offers" for his client when the transfer window reopens.

The 28-year-old's future at Anfield has come under scrutiny during an injury-affected season, with Shaqiri making only 10 appearances for Liverpool across all competitions in 2019-20.

Shaqiri was linked with a move away during the January transfer window, and his agent and brother Erdin is confident that there will be more interest in him this summer.

"I think there will be many offers for Xherdan in the summer. Already in January there was concrete interest from two or three clubs," he said to Kosovar TV station KTV.

"These - their names have already been taken up in various media - will knock again. Xherdan's situation in Liverpool is not easy because of several minor injuries that lasted longer than we thought.

"Jurgen Klopp is in talks with him about more game practice - we have to wait and see. I think Xherdan deserves a lot more. He was unlucky with his injuries. But every time he could play again, he did his job and changed the game."

Sevilla, Roma and CSKA Moscow were among the clubs to have been linked with a move for Shaqiri in January.
