Hoffenheim midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson has reportedly decided to take up Tottenham Hotspur's transfer offer as opposed to moving to Liverpool.
The 22-year-old playmaker has been amid a tug of war between Spurs and the Merseyside club following a season-long loan stint at Swansea City.
While the Iceland international was originally poised to move to Anfield following Brendan Rodgers's switch from the Liberty Stadium to Liverpool, Tottenham have turned Sigurdsson's head in recent weeks.
It is believed that the midfielder has chosen White Hart Lane as his new destination after the Reds refused to meet his wage demands, according to The Express.
Reports have claimed that Sigurdsson will cost the North London club up to £6.8m.
