Luis Suarez confirms that he plans to stay at Liverpool, despite reports linking him with a move away from the club.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has confirmed that he will stay at Anfield.

The 26-year-old has been linked with a move away from the club following his 10-match ban for biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic.

However, the Uruguay international, who misses today's Merseyside derby through suspension, has dismissed rumours of a summer exit.

According to a report in the Sun, Suarez said: "I have a deal with Liverpool and this is my present — and future.

"From the day I arrived, I saw how special this derby is, so it is a pain to miss it. But we have a big squad which can function without me."

Suarez has hit 30 goals for Liverpool this season.
